GOP Rep. wants to ban Pride flags because they can lead to murder

The day after the murder of right-wing provocateur Charlie Kirk, Wisconsin State Rep. Jerry O’Connor said that his state needs to ban rainbow Pride flags to end political violence.

“If the Capitol hosted flags representing LGBTQ+ Pride, the ‘Make America Great Again’ movement, Black Lives Matter, pro-life and pro-choice causes, ‘in the end, anyone driving around this building’s going to be upset. Why would we do that?” O’Connor said while defending his legislation to ban all flags except for ones representing the state, the country, or state agencies, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

I don't really see a problem with government buildings having "no social causes" flag rules (IIF applied evenly). So is that what he's talking about, or he trying to ban them in "the State" period? Banning private entities from flying them would be more abhorrent by orders of magnitude.
