I had only heard his name a very few times, knew nothing except that he was a MAGAt. And a week ago (before the shooting) a DU thread was critical of his wife for her Fundie view of women being submissive to husbands.
Now with MAGAts claiming that Lefts aren't being targeted, the wife's first statement, even after statements saying no others are being charged, is couched in the plural "evildoers". And she certainly sounds like she's making a threat. Now, it is generically understandable that the spouse of a victim would be traumatized and lashing out, perhaps unadvisably making a public statement so soon. The rest of her speech has sections on Fundie-ism, adherence to MAGAism, and thanks, etc.
But the incendiary part is there (below). As for whom she is targeting, well the opposite of Fundies, MAGAts.
I found a MAHER interview with KIRK and my impression is that KIRK was no kind of a deep thinker, entirely a run of the mill Fundie preacher type and MAGAt. For all the yada yada that he was so "relatable" my impression is that he was a rigid non-thinker, superficial, obnoxiously certain of his superior knowledge (of the Fundie scripture), under-educated (aside from not finishing college), under-educated even in the readily available mass amount of YouTube of current scholars on the origins and provable history of Christianity that makes Fundamentalism look absurd.
MAHER, despite our contingent of his haters here, has long experience in dismantling Wingnuts and religious Believers, and he sized KIRK up from the get-go and settled on a toned-down charitable level as with a child, not a worthy competitor. Totally out of MAHER's universe - Fundie, MAGAt, married, kids, teetotaler of booze and pot.
