AA grounding pilots for their personal thoughts.

?s=42

Much celebrating in the orange world. Pilots being grounded for their opinions. Their personal thoughts. How does that affect their ability to fly a complex machine and take into their hands hundreds of lives?

I have several dear friends that are gay who are flight attendants. The most competent people I know. Will they be questioned about whether they are happy that Kirk was killed? Are there limits to celebratory comments? Does failing to show appropriate grief count against one?

"Do not obey in advance.

Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do."
