Trump’s dream White House ballroom may be just a teensy bit bigger than promised.

In an interview with NBC News, the president confirmed that the $200 million luxury event space he is reportedly self-funding has already ballooned in size as construction began this week.

“We’re making it a little bigger. It will be top-of-the-line, as good as it can get anywhere in the world,” Trump said.

The updated ballroom will seat 900 people, up from the original 650, an increase of almost 40 percent.

3. Here's what I can't figure out... (re: self-funding)

As American citizens, we are told we are not allowed to write anything in our passports (except where indicated), because the property is not OURS but belongs to the Federal Government. How in the hell is he getting away with defacing public property? I consider it defacing, not only in aesthetic terms, but precisely because of the claim of self-funding (which I don't believe he intends to do).
