Ukraine's strategy against Russia could be devastatingly effective soon

A number of variables could change this timeline, but it's looking really promising...

I asked ChatGPT how long until Ukraine destroys Russia's oil refining industry if current rate holds.

At a time when so much of the Earth seems to be warming rapidly, it's discouraging to see fuel supplies going up in flames and adding to the carbon crisis.

But I fully understand Ukraine's motivation to make the Russian bombs and missiles stop, particularly the ones hitting civilian targets.

Besides, I would point out that the primary responsibility here lies with the Russians, who provoked this war and could choose to end it any time!

Sometimes the damage is reparable, and refineries can come back online in a few weeks. Lots of variables interacting here -- severity of the damage, availability of repair supplies and crews, worsening weather -- making prediction difficult, even for ChatGPT. Still, it's lovely to think that we may be able to enjoy a Schadenfreude Fest to warm our hearts this coming winter.
