And Now, for Something Completely Different

AI YouTube Narrator Speaks to Us From the Future

To get some comic relief from the ugly political news, I diverted my attention to reports on the 3I/Atlas object. For a quick summary, that's an interstellar object, most often called a comet, that is passing through the solar system at a very, very high rate of speed right now. It has become fodder for fake science explainers on YouTube to exaggerate the importance of this. That is a common phenomenon on YouTube's pseudo-scientific community, where content providers try their best to get everyone's attention and frighten the piss out of gullible viewers.

3I/Atlas has stimulated a rush of videos seeking to frighten people and outdo one another in warning of unforeseen dangers that will no doubt occur from that object. It could be a comet, or maybe an object created by an advanced civilization somewhere in the universe that was sent to our little solar system to do something or another. Whatever you can imagine, and many things you probably cannot, have become the topic for the YouTube "science" content providers.

Today, though, I saw something I have never seen before. This time, the AI narrator of one video is reporting what has already happened next week. What you didn't know is that on September 19, 2025, the 3I/Atlas object teleported down to the surface of Mars and is busy doing something unknown there. Whatever it did next Friday is already breaking news, apparently.

So, if you're looking for a distraction, you can find the future news being broadcase on YouTube by AI narrators from the future. Isn't that freaking amazing? It must be true, though, since the video had all sorts of images and charts in it telling us what happened next Friday. I'd provide a link, but I'm going back to see what happened next Saturday and Sunday.

Will wonders never cease?

Now, I'll return you to consider more mundane events.

All the while worrying that, that too, is probably at least partially delusional ...
