(197,886 posts)Hes got such a nasty horrible past they want to establish him as righteous so as people learn his past they dismiss it as either just being negative or that he reformed.
I didnt pay much attention to him but Id say Ive noticed that hed taken a more faith based or spiritual turn since Trumps back in office. I think he was planning on running for office. He brings his followers with him and he was adding the evangelicals.

When there's nothing good to say about the dead, we're to say nothing. How would you write a eulogy for, say, Lee Harvey Oswald? The right-wingers are in that position right now.

Kirk's past words work against that, so they need to stifle any mention of his vile words; they need to ban those from being repeated, in short . . .
They need to rewrite recent history. And that is a Republican trademark.
It's part of the same illogical logic that makes it ok to support the droopy faced monster in the White House.
