It's what they do. They take these promising prospects. They heap on all the pressure on them that they will save the team. They become the darling of the Chicago News Stations. Then they just don't support them.
The Bears are great with breaking in the new guy. Without support. Easing there pressures. Resting them when they get in trouble by bringing in a backup now and then. When they fail. They abandon them and start the process all over again with the next new promising young prospect.
The Bears have helped a lot of teams - giving them a quarterback that needs some finishing touches and polishing. And they go on to be a star.
All complements of the Bears Organization.

(35,000 posts)The news is ugly enough as it is, without having to hear about the Bears doing Bears things again. It's bad enough the Cubs took a dump on Anthony Rizzo's retirement celebration. (Although, he did look like he had a blast, anyway.)
Just a few years ago they were piling on Jordan Love, saying the Packers days were over. Packers know how to identify a good quarterback and they take their time developing them. The Bears want instant results.
Also, the North has been a tough conference the past few seasons. In a different conference they might have better results but that will never happen.
