When do we succeed in labeling the Republican party

As the party of ignorance? Trump is openly admitting it. Every day he comes up with a confession that exposes the obstacle that he is faced with. Today he said that smart people don’t like him. The day after Charlie Kirk died, he called the extreme left politically savvy. And he said it like it was a bad thing,

What this tells me, is that he is finally seeing the monolith before him. And what is so poetic is that all of the obstacles come straight from the Constitution. Our founding fathers did a remarkable job. When the Dems get back in control, we just have to shore up the intent of the Amendments,

In sum, it can’t be more obvious that he has to dumb down this country in order to be successful. They started out strong with their anti woke movement, but I suspect it’s because we didn’t fully understand the dog whistle until Trump’s policies were so openly racist that he felt a need to wipe slavery off the books. As if that’s even possible,

But I think the seams of Trump’s power will dissolve once we get it across that the attack on woke was a maneuver to get the Right’s supporters to shut off their brains and allow themselves to be led by their prejudices; even to the point where their actions do not align with the Christian beliefs they claim to have. This will prove to be their Achilles heel. Trump’s actions are inconsistent with Christian beliefs. And his supporters know it. Everyone questions their commitment to Christianity and I strongly believe there will be a shift in power when they realize that aligning themselves with Trump has destroyed any semblance of a moral high ground.

I would argue that in fact Trump's beliefs do actually align with white evangelical beliefs in many ways.

For example - they do not believe there should be a "separation of church and state", culture issues like Christian nationalism, LGBT, anti-abortion, critical race theory, prayer in schools, their belief that Christians are victims, his America First is perfect for their nationalist beliefs.

His nasty behavior is overlooked by white evangelicals with many saying that Trump is not a perfect moral leader, but divinely appointed to deliver on their agenda.

Bottom line - Trump speaks their language. It's ugly, it's nasty, and it has become a threat to our Democracy.
