I had my yearly physical last Friday and I asked my PA if I should consider a booster shot for Measles

and she said yes. Born in 1967 I received just one shot which is now considered less effective and a booster is a good idea to achieve full immunity.

Thankfully, I’m still going strong and have immunity to all 3. Same age range as you.

I was going to have her give me the booster that day, but I needed to have my tetanus shot and I didn't want two tender arms. (I play guitar and that could have been a hindrance) She said I could get it at the pharmacy at anytime.

and I was not immune. Born in 66, had shot in 67.

On the plus side, I only needed one shot to be immune this time around.

If you never had a booster you might as well have never got the vaccine at all. I was nine months old when I got it in 1967, and 6 years old when I got measles. FTR, measles sucks.

I think it was pre 1958 people are all good. But do ask again to make sure it's clear.

Back then, we generally just got the illness. I had German measles and the mumps, but my mother said none of the six of us kids had anything else.

My kids had everything except the chicken pox vaccine, they'd already had it by the time the vaccine came out. My middle son did end up with croup, though. They were all in all pretty healthy kids, as I and my siblings were. Never even really had colds and none of us ever had the flu.
