While Trump Engages in Attacks on Democracy and Free Speech, Farmers Are in Deep Trouble

For all his defending of hate speech and promised retaliation against those CALLING IT OUT,

his planned assaults upon cities with large minority populations,

and his crimes on the high seas (did I forget to mention his Epstein pedo allegations?)

one MIGHT almost forget his pal Putin's threats to Poland, France and NATO, and Trump's FAILING economy looming on the horizon.

Not to mention the impending crisis farmers are facing:

We’re out of time': Farms warn Trump is about to usher in the worst crisis in decades - Rawstory

Donald Trump's trade policies have set up American farmers for an impending disaster, as China refuses to buy soybeans from the United States.

According to The New York Times, the move by the Chinese government to halt U.S. soybean imports "has had devastating repercussions for farmers in North Dakota, which exported more than 70 percent of its soybeans to China before Trump unveiled the new tariffs this year. Unless China agrees to restart its purchases as part of a trade deal, farmers that depend on the Chinese market will be facing steep losses that could fuel farm bankruptcies and farm foreclosures around the United States.

The stress level is much higher now than it was then,” 44-year-old Jordan Gackle, who co-owns a 76-year-old soybean farm near Kulm, told The Times. “If we keep this going for very long, then we are going to see the kind of foreclosures that were happening.” He continued, “All of it is unnecessary. The U.S. was not forced into this by anybody.”Justin Sherlock, a 37-year-old farmer in Dazey, had a more blunt assessment: “I feel like we’re out of time.”

Are they STILL more concerned about "radical libs" than impending financial doom for their families and farms?

This will be a big test. Hard to go after "lefty murderers" with pitchforks THAT WERE REPOSSESED.

Like addicts, the cult members may have to hit ROCK FUCKING BOTTOM before waking up.

And then, do they still blame "libs" OUT OF OFFICE??

There was a video posted here in DU that explains the farmers support for trump, they wanted easy money from the bail out, as it happened before. trump screws them, and then he screws the tax payers by giving taxpayer money to the farmers, and because most of them are millionaires, they also benefit from the tax cuts.

This talk about patriotism is so fake it is disgusting, when their bank accounts are full of money? patriotism just becomes something they can wrap themselves around to pretend they love their country.

And demand for our Treasuries declines. The knock on effects of decresed trade will become obvious as tax receipts start to decline. There may be some laggs, but the money to prop up farmers this round will be in much shorter supply.

the politicians they've placed their trust in, and voted for, have betrayed them on multiple front.,

That many know why they voted for Trump, and why they very well may again.

That still doesn't preclude our REMINDING them of it... over and over again if need be. Doesn't preclude our DUTY to lend truth to their lies, to reveal their fallacies.

I think not letting THEM control the narrative, IS our concern.

Isn't that in part why we are here?

For the PURPOSE of calling HIM OUT.

There are many concerns discussed herein, on a daily basis. Who's to dictate what should or shouldn't be of concern?

I think the most comical is the Republican Senators, The Republican House Members and the Republican US Supreme Court Justices who are all in lock step supporting Trump and everything the 2025 Crowd and Steven Miller are doing in the shadows........LOL
All three groups are so stupid, and living in la la land.......They haven't yet realized that there is NO Legislative or Judicial Branch of the government in a Tyrannical Dictatorship........LOL

Most of the soybeans and corn produced in the USA are not for human consumption. Interestingly farms that produce fruits and vegetables get few subsidies and don't export much.
