In late 2002

a nurse at work told me that I should buy Priceline stock. He was not a hard working nurse in my opinion and I gave short shrift to his advice. I remember telling him that I was not going to buy his $2 stock. He said it was $3 this week. Of course I was familiar with the William Shatner commercials and that supposedly Shatner was not happy with his payments which were in stock. Priceline rose to more than $2,000 before I retired and now is around $6,000. Also in 2010 I read about a scam in a tech magazine. The scam was called bitcoin and they were selling thin air for a few cents.

My view is that monetary policy of the country with the reserve currency has been so lax that all of the decent investments have had their prices inflated to the point where they are no longer decent investments. So now we have the era of speculation. Of course Trump's war on the dollar is going to be a real nightmare I think.
