A really important reminder

I know in most cases I'm singing to the choir, but please please please go through your Credit Card statements every month to verify your purchases.
I'm paying my bills today and have found three charges that resulted from signing up for a promotional offer only to have it be misleading or flat out wrong.
It's especially frustrating that two of the three charges involve a newspaper, which I like to support if it's reasonable.
$70 dollars saved today.

And I immediately went to the bank and canceled my debit card. No problems since.

You may still have to cancel a card if it's compromised but you don't have to wait until you get your statement.

IMO, this is one of the best features of electronic banking. I have account balance notices sent every morning too.
