Robert Redford was a beloved icon who brought joy to millions and advocated for a better humanity

The flags will not be lowered to half-staff for him, because beloved as he was his passing does not meet the protocol to do so.

I hope that makes people think about how ridiculous and absurd it was for the con to lower the flags Charlie.

And, more importantly, he was a devoted and sometimes controversial environmentalist. I always think of him as the handsome rogue in Butch Cassidy and as Bob Woodward in All The President's Men, which dates me, I guess. He'll be missed.
