Sen. Welch (D) was just given a softball question on CNN, and

HE BLEW IT!!!!! The question was (paraphrased) What is your response to the VP and trump saying that the majority of polical violence is on the left and blaming members of the Democratic party?

Sen. Welch did not even quote statistics that prove that false! His answer was "The person who commits the violent act is the one who should be held accountable. And all of us who are in public life, and actually all citizens with their fierce commitment to their point of view should be presenting that point of view with some respect to the people who disagree."

Sure, but the RW never does that. That's the point. And the question was directly about addressing the FALSE ATTACKS AGAINST DEMOCRATS COMING FROM TRUMP AND VANCE. I didn't hear an answer, and I can only conclude that he has no interest in defending Democrats.

This is why the press feels free to help the RW spread their BS about Democrats celebrating, being more violent, etc. No one, not even Democrats, will object even when given a clear shot to do so.

Unfortunate fact is that stats don't matter when 50% of so of population doesn't beleive them or doesn't care. Silent Type Sep 2025 #2

At the present time, Charlie Kirk -- a white wing POS -- is what is on peoples' mind, not historical statistics.

Sadly, there is little doubt in my mind that Robinson will be branded a liberal killer, especially after today's revelations. We can fight it with stats, etc., but will lose or maybe break even if lucky.

I think best strategy at this point is to just lay low and let this pass.

Communication matters in politics. It always has. Unilateral surrender by Dems in this area is why we are in the state we're in.

Don’t they have media advisors or anyone capable of giving them talking points?

This kind of ineptitude makes you wonder if they even want to defend themselves against the constant bullshit.

It’s bad enough that the corporate media is always against this party but when they give you the rare chance to hit back, you have to blast those Nazi fucks.

So would Eric Swalwell and a few others. I'm sorry, but this trying so hard to be perfect and show everyone by example gets us nowhere when the other party is operating in bad faith and not telling the truth. We need to at least point that out, right?
