In the first term, Manchin PERSONALLY knew this. Even under reconciliation, he needed EVERY single Democrat to get a 50/50 tie Harris could break. Manchin himself could stop anything he wanted.

In the second term, the Republicans controlled the House which completely limited what he could do with his giant 51/49 Senate majority.

Was he concerned that Harris might win and even if we won all the even remotely winnable Senate seats to get 50 and we won the House that she would have the same raw power Biden had?

I hope someone asks if the raw power Trump has and the way he has Uniquely abused it should have been what he should have worried about?
