Cops in Florida are searching for a scuba diver who allegedly committed a brazen robbery at a restaurant at Disney Springs in Orlando — and then swam away.

The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. Monday at the Paddlefish restaurant in Disney Springs. According to a heavily redacted incident report obtained by Law&Crime, employees had closed the restaurant and were wrapping up for the night. A couple of employees were standing in the manager's office when a man wearing a blue beanie, black mask and a wet suit with no shoes came barging in and pushed them into the corner of the office and ordered them "down." He then allegedly made them close their eyes as he went for the safe.

Local ABC affiliate WFTV reported that the thief tied up some employees and stole thousands of dollars in cash from the safe. According to the incident report, the man made off with between $10,000 and $20,000.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office released a photo of the man covering a surveillance camera with black spray paint. None of the employees were physically injured. As the restaurant was closed, there were no patrons inside at the time of the robbery.

Or a new "ride" at Disneyworld. He'll be collared before the end of this week. Put him in the dungeon on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

Of the person spraying the camera. That's a very strange outfit - even for a diver or snorkeller. Surgical gloves, what looks like swimming goggles not a mask. And something that looks like loose fitting vinyl with a seam down the middle covering his head.

I think calling it "scuba" gear is a mistake. Along with the points you made, I don't see a tank or regulator.

Apparently, scubaman just enters the office and orders everyone in the corner and close their eyes, and there is no report of a weapon. Seems kinda weird that they just followed orders without being threatened by some sort of weapon.

Not much reporting on the whole/hole story. A lot of details missing. I have more questions.

I’m not seeing a blue bennie, at looks more like a wrestling mask or just an ill fitting swimmers cap, swimming goggles, gloves, and not sure what’s going on around the neck area.

My middle child texted me this story. We are not scheduled to eat at this restaurant but we may change our plans. This place is just down from my favorite restaurant at WDW, Art Smith's chicken place
