Has the pro-gun crowd been lying to us?

An armed society is a polite society. They have spouted that for decades. No these people want millions more for security.
We have more than one gun for every person, not just adult, but person in the US. Sounds like an armed society to me. Why do we need more dollars for security and protection of officials. Shouldn't be more polite than Canada by now?

Most people need things dumbed down. And an idiom that dumbs down while supporting their flimsy beliefs is a win/win.

And while for years I have seen that stat of at least one weapon for every American, that stat often ignores the fact that many gun owners have more than one gun. Think of those folks who post pics showing off what amounts to a small arsenal covering their back deck, or driveway. So, yes, while there may be enough guns in circulation for every American to have at least one, not every American actually has a gun.

And the ones which are not lies are often irrelevant or non sequiturs.

In reality, as we know, an armed society is a fearful, intimidated, and bloody society.
