White House's Karoline Leavitt appears to connect earthquake to Charlie Kirk's death and Biblical prophecy

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt on Tuesday shared a social media post on a personal account suggesting that an earthquake recorded in Utah last week was a sign of God’s anger at the shooting death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Leavitt, who describes herself as a devout Christian, shared a post on Instagram that read: “On the night Charlie was shot, a 4.1 earthquake struck Utah. In scripture, 40 represents trials; 41 signifies a shift. It hit at 5:57 local time, 7:57 Eastern.”

“Acts 7:57 describes Stephen, the first martyr, stoned as the crowd silenced his truth. The Bible says the earth trembles when God is angry. That night, as a voice was silenced, the ground groaned.”

She reposted the screenshot of a Twitter post, adding: “Wow.”

Mrs Leavitt, and others in her culture, live
in a world of demons, spirit agents, and magical events. She, and the others, have a tenuous attachment with objective reality which allows them to weave and mix what they imagine with what they experience in daily life. The result is a confusing worldview that they don't really trust because it makes little sense regardless of whether they put the emphasis on the magical side or on what their senses reveal. This creates a lifelong trap of insecurity that cannot be easily relieved.

She could have said, with equal "validity" in her mind, that the Utah earthquake was a sign that Charlie Kirk should tone down or even stop his malevolent behavior but she decided to take the path of magic that gives her a dopamine rush instead.
