I didn’t like the “analysis” and “discussion” approach to “news” then and it hasn’t gotten any better. I couldn’t care less what ABC does, even if they filmed the Board of Directors smoking spliffs in the nude and throwing avocados and chips at TSF’s portrait.

EDIT: Kimmel definitely doesn’t need them to continue his show. He can stream directly from any number of media platforms, including Substack, TikTok, etc.

13. ABC fears the FCC. They don't want to lose their broadcasting license.

The MAGAt head of the FCC threatened ABC if they didn't get rid of Kimmel.

Brendan Carr, the chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, had seemingly threatened ABC, Disney and Kimmel over his monologue about Kirk during a YouTube episode of commentator Benny Johnson's show on Sept. 17. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way," Carr said.

"There's calls for Kimmel to be fired," he added. "I think you could certainly see a path forward for suspension over this."

But the FCC is clearly violating ABC's 1st Amendment rights. ABC should have defended Kimmel, then sued the FCC if they tried to yank their license.
