(18,471 posts)How did that turn out in the mainstream?

(800 posts)She still has the same problem as Kamala and Hillary. She's a woman. Women don't even vote for other women. They vote like their husbands. That's why it's too early for that. To be president, you have to pass the Commander in Chief test. Too much racism and misogyny in this country. In 2028 we cannot be risky.

(800 posts)That would be the type of woman that could pass the Commander in Chief test. Voting for president is different than voting for a Congressional member or governor. People really do visualize that person sitting behind the Oval Office giving military orders like JFK did during the Cuban Missile Crisis. I think a woman from the armed forces, someone in leadership, would be that type that could win.
Hillary was viewed as a tough woman, that's why she came so damn close to pulling it off. In 2028 though, we don't have the luxury to experiment. We need a WINNER. We are so close to losing whatever is left of this country.

(19,878 posts)our country hates women too much for that to happen.
I say this as a woman who was hopeful both times our candidate was a woman.
Turns out, misogyny and racism are the two biggest "American Values".
I've lost hope for our country. Well, is it even "ours" anymore or does it belong entirely to the ultra wealthy?
Give me a few days and I'll probably find some hope again, but this is where I am now.
