fuck funding a government that is lost to us. I'd rather have an economic disaster than a fascist takeover.
And I'm convinced nothing, now, except an economic disaster will disrupt his plans and finally bring him down.

(1 post)This is how I've felt ever since project 2025 made it apparent how planful they've been. We lost. It's that simple. The job now is to save what can be saved. Fascists do not cede power without blood. It's an open question whether people will resist enough for the fascists to worry.

Grim Chieftain
(1,447 posts)Trump and his evil minions are attacking everything this democracy has stood for, and unfortunately, they are getting away with most of it. Every day is a new horror, a new unimaginable crime against all this country has valued since its inception.
We have "No Kings" protests and they have little to no effect. Our elected representatives speak out - some more than others - and there is little effect. Trump is dangerous, a cancer on the USA. As a baby boomer, I have lived through some horrible challenges to this country, but nothing like this.
