Democrats are doing their damnedest to compromise with the Republicans.

They do not want to see violence. They want the rhetoric toned down. They want us all to put the country first. Just to prove they are serious about it, they vote to commemorate Charlie Kirk on October 14th.

It's hard to communicate with a turnip.

Doing the same thing over and over and expecting them to compromise on anything is insane. They have had ten years to see and to analyze and to correct their problems. Republicans have done nothing but make the political crisis worse.

If the Democrats are unable to deny reality, they are of no use in this debate.

You would like to ignore them but that would be dangerous with your house burning down.

Backing away from a fight doesn’t send a good message to those you count on to have your back. Quite the contrary.

But that wouldn't have been hyperbolic enough for some people.

8. This brings back memories of when (significant numbers of) Dems voted to authorize use of military force in Iraq.

It got us a catastrophic war, and didn't win us any elections. It doesn't seem like our party ever learns.

I don't intend this to be construed as attacking Democrats, but I believe we need to be able to discuss these things openly.
