1. Only Broadcast Stations are FCC-Licensed. Networks Are NOT!!!

Networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, etc) are not. There are federal laws about this. Each legal broadcast station (not network) is individually licensed by the FCC. Think of the broadcast station and television or radio network relationship like an electrical substation that connects to a (centralized) national electrical network.
