Right-wing ideologies have fueled more than 70% of all extremist attacks and domestic terror plots since 2002 in the U.S., according to the Anti-Defamation League.

1. What he was thinking at the time is irrelevant. He was not one of the people the right wing demonizes.

Not an immigrant. Not a black woman,, not a drag queen. Not an atheist. He hadn’t gone to an ivy league or “eastern elite” college. The point is he started out as one of them. That didn’t stop him from committing a horrific act of violence.
