Did Congressman Tim Burchett (R-TN) really say this? All I see referenced is a video making the rounds on social media and in this current era of technology, I'm unsure how well we can trust that.
"Like we say, we know more about the face of the Moon than we know what's going on there [the ocean]," Burchett continues. "We have a higher propensity of sightings around these five or six I believe deep water areas. It creates a question there."

I am thinking a certain U.S. Representative has been out in the sun too long.

Either that or the congressmen is in need of immediate psychiatric help

(79,441 posts)A little context may be important here. While I am not suggesting -- nor do I believe -- that Burchett is as intelligent as the average garden slug, he was referencing information provided by "experts" at a recent congressional task force meeting on UFOs.
And he jumped to the conclusion there are entities living under the ocean, including allusions to mysterious intelligences?

Maybe he's thinking of an amorphous blob that absorbs everything around it. Oh, wait, we already have one of those in the White House.
