So, if the NYT lawsuit got laughed out of court

Why can’t CBS/ABC/Disney lawyer up and fight back?

Maybe these licenses should be revoked - not because of what they broadcast, but because they cower and won’t fight back against a bullying regime that uses intimidation tactics and assaults the First Amendment.

It apparently was a rambling political statement and stating of grievances

It’s about the affiliates. Nexstar owns 33 ABC affiliates and Sinclair (very conservative) owns 26 of the total ABC affiliates of 250-270. Affiliates carry a lot of weight.

I legitimately don’t understand and am looking for clarification.

Because Sinclair owns ABC affiliates, ABC can’t lawyer up against government intimidation?

Trump mop extorting corporations to do an end run around the First Amendment limits on POTUS. If he/his mob can strong arm corporations into limiting speech of their 'employees' Trump is a happy camper cuz it's not the state doing the silencing.

Now, if some of the threatened business would grow spines and stand up to being Trump's proxy, that would be refreshing.

wasn't completely thrown out of court. The judge just said they have 28 days to amend the complaint.

I love the fact that trump did not plead actual malice but this strange concept of "actual malice ... in the colloquial sense"
