"Blonde on Blonde" (and "Highway 61," which were probably both recorded in 1965) have Dylan's voice turning nasally. That was the characteristic sound on songs like "Rainy Day Women" and "Visions of Johanna."

Dylan's early voice was quite rich/resonant. He is known more for the nasally sound but that was pre-accident! After the accident he made a couple of albums to close out the '60s. "Lay, Lady, Lay" sounds completely different vocally! It reminds me of Andy Kaufman or something.

You really do seem to be dissing Dylan here...
