The Lindsey Halligan thing. I can't get past the fact that Trump RAN ON "seeking revenge."

I see this and I'm pissed off like a LOT of people, but ANYONE who KNEW Trump's history up to 2024 KNEW that when he said that "I AM YOUR RETRIBUTION" bullshit, he wasn't intending to "fight for" anyone but himself, to "punish" his real and imagined enemies for what he perceived as unjustified attacks against him. Turns out every one of his "enemies" were simply DOING THEIR JOBS and responding to crimes Trump had committed, because he consistently felt that rules were for other people, not him.

But he RAN ON this bullshit, and 74 million Americans signed up for it, and another 90,000,000 didn't give a fuck, so how does one respond to this, appropriately?

In a social media post just after he departed the White House for an event at Mount Vernon, Trump wrote he was nominating Halligan as U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, writing that she “will be Fair, Smart, and will provide, desperately needed, JUSTICE FOR ALL!”
