Anti-Trump protesters are out almost every day in metro Detroit. 'We can't stop'

(Detroit Free Press) Tracee Guibord and the inflatable male genitalia she brings along are hard to miss at a protest.

The 5½-foot-tall inflatable is adorned with handcuffs, a Girl Scouts sash and a fake head of hair meant to mimic the hair of President Donald Trump. And Guibord, a former police officer and firefighter, typically dons the military jacket of her World War II veteran father for the endeavor.

Guibord, 67, of West Bloomfield, became a familiar face in September 2025 when the Detroit Free Press set out to visit at least one protest a day for a week in metro Detroit.



While mass protests with hundreds to thousands have gathered to denounce the president since he retook office, more regular protests with anti-Trump sentiments are also taking place almost daily in metro Detroit. Smaller groups of five, 40 or a little under a hundred people gather routinely with posters, chants and, sometimes, retorts for passing motorists who support the president. ...................(more)

we had a masked magat turn out to harass ppl last wk. threatened to dox ppl, and plant child porn on their computers 😡😜. had a great turn out this wk.
