Imagine for a minute 15 years ago

I want you to think back to better times in the early days of the Obama era and imagine a scenario where President Obama would be speaking at a funeral and to say “I hate my opponents, I want no good for them”. The immediate outrage all over the country and the media would’ve have been deafening. The President essentially admitting that he hates half the country and wishing ill will on them. Admitting what we all know, he’s only President for those that support him. If you’re his “opponent” go F yourself he doesn’t care for you and wants your life to have nothing good in it. This monster. And to do it at a celebration of someone’s life too, what a sick person. It’s amazing how desensitized this country is to Trump’s BS that this barely gets a mention let alone outrage from what I saw this morning.

Obama never made or agreed with those statements, he simply attended Rev. Wright's church in Chicago. Still, Obama had to address the "controversy" in his 'A More Perfect Union' speech, then later was forced to disavow Wright.

When Fred Trump had a sit-down with his pregnant wife Elizabeth on whether they want to keep the baby or have an abortion,

An illegal abortion for sure, but that never stopped Fred.

But not really for many of them either. Trump is for Trump and his wealthy donors. He doesn't even care for those who voted for him as his policies have shown. He asked for their votes and then signed legislation that hurts them.

Throwing a public shit fit because the President wore a tan suit. W. T. F. ???

It was years ago and I still can’t believe it happened. It wasn’t the color of the suit. I think it was the color of the skin of the man wearing that suit.

According to a February 2025 survey from the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI), about two-thirds of Americans (66%) oppose Christian nationalism.

And of course, if any of the horrible things that fall out of 47's sick brain and out his mouth were said by any Democrat, that Democrat would be toast.

The way some* of our electeds are talking it sounds to me like they've accepted that we are a majority Christian Nationalist nation and so they feel they need to try to "win over" those people. Give it the f up. There is no appeasing them and a vast majority oppose them!

Sometimes I just want to scream at some* of our Democratic electeds "For Goodness Sake, BE PROUD OF WHO HATES YOU!"**

*I know we have plenty who get it right. But I think the ones who get it wrong stand out to me -- sort of like fingernails on a chalk board.

** A little corollary. If a group hates you and you suspect they have a point, perhaps rethink what you are doing.

He was only there because he knew it would help him with his base.
He doesn't love anyone but himself, and so he's your friend until you do something to anger him, then he attacks.
He resents and replays any and all slights, and looks for the time when he can punish those "wrong doers" who hurt him.
Charlie Kirk's farewell was just another opportunity for him to do what he always does.

I am not rooting for him to be assassinated, just rooting for him to have his party invitation revoked by nature.

The rest of us will be left to clean up the mess, and eventually the party will resume, it just won't include him - and that is an objectively good thing.

The Divided States of Trump's America do not need any more of him, or his freaks in the cabinet (Vance, Miller, Bondi, Patel, RFK Jr.) or any of their Nazi rhetoric and religious bullshit seeking more power and retirbution against those who recognize them and call them out on being reincarnated Nazis. The Nazis lost once already, and they WILL lose the rematch they seem to be clamoring for as well. History will throw them all in the same trashcan eventually.
