The earliest recorded version of the saying appeared in 1862 in The Christian Recorder, an African Methodist Episcopal Church publication. In 1894, GF Northall's Folk-phrases of Four Counties included the expression, which seemed to be a collection of sayings from English counties.

(60,320 posts)A quote about the history of the expression does nothing to prove your thesis that you don't even discuss.
Possibilities:
1) You think the history is a lie.
2) You think the phrase has nothing to do with hurting people. (unlikely)
3) You think the mere existence of the orange person is a lie.
4) You think that sticks and/or stones don't break bones.
5) You think that words can hurt you.
Assuming it is #5, tRump's existence does not prove it. Are you referring to one or more instances of some words? You'll have to develop a line of discussion referencing some words and then explain how they hurt you. I was unable to read your mind.
A simple plan:
State a thesis: check
State relevant facts: void
Connect facts to thesis: void
