No. That is NOT fair to ponder. You're ascribing potential motive to people

for something that there's no evidence they've even done. I looked at the list and thought wow, it's great all these people signed this letter. I never gave a second of thought to whose signatures weren't included (as I suspect was the case for almost everyone who read it). I couldn't care less who wasn't among the 400 because it's meaningless. There's thousands of well known liberal celebrities who weren't among the 400. Should we ascribe motive to all of them as well? Or is the sensible thing to be glad the 400 signed it and assume many thousands more would have if given the chance?

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
