But I think the lost subscribers and boycott's spoke louder. They probably took a harder look at the numbers and realized it wasn't worth it. If anything, the planned acqusition just got cheaper.

They could have suspended him and docked his pay for said period of time instead of firing him and shutting down the show.

Whoopi has been suspended from the View a few times for things she said, but never fired
