NO! The grifter brought us a world wide pandemic. It has always bothered me that the reality has never gotten enough press coverage. I believe if the epidemiological experts and staff who should have been in place, in China, had been there, "we" could have stopped the virus before it spread. Disease surveillance saves lives.

The grifter reduced the CDC staff in China from 44 in March 2017 to 14 in March 2020. Many of the CDC staffers let go were Chinese nationals - they included medical and disease experts with deep institutional knowledge. Trump had cut CDC staff in Beijing from eight to four Americans. (I got these specific numbers from factcheck.org)

When the grifter is to blame for something, he always blames others. I have always believed (in my heart) if anyone else had been president of the US in 2019, we would not have had a world wide pandemic. We do disease surveillance for a reason.

He made this statement during a completely unhinged speech that he just gave at the U.N. And elements of that speech portend more damage and destruction. He is undermining our place in the world.
