TO CONTACT NEXSTAR AND SINCLAIR ABOUT THE CENSORSHIP OF JIMMY KIMMEL ... WHAT YOU NEED TO DO.

Last edited Tue Sep 23, 2025, 02:29 PM - Edit history (1)

To protest Jimmy Kimmel's censorship on Nexstar and Sinclair, find the sponsors for the two companies and send them a letter stating that you will not be buying their products until they stop sponsoring censorship.
1. Check to see if you have a Sinclair or Nexstar station in your area.
Identify your local Sinclair stations. You can find a list of stations on the Sinclair Broadcast Group website or on Wikipedia.

Identify your local Nexstar stations, here:
https://www.nexstar.tv/stations
2. Compile a list of advertisers. Watch the local news and note the companies that run commercials. Focus on local businesses, as they are often more susceptible to public feedback than national corporations.
3. Find the right contact. Call the company or visit their website to find the name of the marketing manager or public relations department. Addressing a specific person is more effective than "To Whom It May Concern".
4. Write a Letter of Protest

Subject: An appeal regarding your advertising on [Station Call Letters]
Dear [Sponsor Contact Name],
I am writing to you today as a concerned member of the [Your City/Town] community and a customer of [Sponsor's Company Name]. I am appealing to you regarding your company's advertising on the local television station [Station Call Letters], a Sinclair Broadcast Group affiliate.
I understand that your company advertises on this station to reach our local community. However, I am boycotting [Station Call Letters] and all companies that advertise with it due to [explain your specific reason]. I believe the station's content is [state your concerns, e.g., misleading, biased, harmful to the community].
As a consumer who values transparency and integrity, I find the alignment of [Sponsor's Company Name] with this programming to be deeply disappointing. It negatively impacts my perception of your brand, and I am not alone. I have spoken with other community members who feel the same way.
I would like to know if your company plans to continue its support of [Station Call Letters]. I urge you to reconsider this partnership and redirect your advertising dollars to a media outlet that better reflects the values of our community.
Thank you for your time and consideration of this important issue.
Sincerely,
