Will he read the 1st Amendment, quote Jack Parr (as someone else suggested) or just tear into him as usual.

(55,808 posts)but that never stopped me from weighing in. I'm expecting a little 1A delineation on what is free speech, satire, humor, the landscape in which it's always existed, and how he really didn't quite say what they said he said. Because Jimmy was being railroaded.

(18,181 posts)ABC caved and re-instated Jimmy Kimmel's show, not because it's the right thing to do, but because of the money they were losing due to their brain dead decision to suspend him because of FCC chair Carr's threat against them.
Good one

(297,921 posts)Jimmy Kimmel broke his silence after his brief suspension from the airwaves, posting a picture to Instagram on Tuesday of a Hollywood figure who once described himself as being on President Richard Nixons enemies list.
Kimmel shared a photo of himself and Norman Lear, the television producer who was best known for his progressive activism. Lear died in 2023 at age 101. The late-night host captioned the photo, which features his arm around Lear, Missing this guy today.
