This morning I did a search on how unrelieved longterm stress

affects short-term memory, since my "CRS" condition seems to be worsening. I still do my daily Wordle and Extreme Sudoko with my usual successful attempts at puzzle solving, and am now working on a third manuscript for a mystery series. Intensive focus on something other than the unfolding political catastrophe does bring me some relief, as does my evening attempt at "self-medication" as a habitual moderate drinker. The search results indicate that ongoing stress can, in fact, take a toll on the ability to recall certain recent events. Mais, c'est la guerre.

I forgot to mention something important -
until 2018 my blood pressure was ALWAYS in the low normal range. That changed in 2018 and I’m STILL struggling to find a medication that keeps my systolic readings below 120.
