That’s flat out old Vaudeville comedy.
His Jack Paar intro line (as mentioned here in DU) was spot on.
Kimmel’s first episode back addressed the scope and weight of the situation. It was heartfelt, honest, and it didn’t pull punches. He went right back at it.
Very well written and performed.
