Megyn Kelly and a sitting US Governor are the faces of Turning Point now?
Virginia Techs Burruss Auditorium (~3,000) was nearly full for the event. Outside the venue, a small group of counter-protesters peacefully demonstrated and held signs that read Hokies dont hate and hate has no home here, according to CNN-affiliate WDBJ.

(26,618 posts)Replacing Kirk with a woman is the ultimate DEI hire and a self own by an organization with absolutely no self awareness.
Kirk preached misogyny to these people for years, and now they want them to listen to a woman? Can't wait to see how that works out. I don't see this ending well for the organization.

(114,692 posts)It was not a particularly favorable environment for MAGA types years ago, but I have no idea what the situation is now.
I know Colorado State University in Fort Collins was supposed to host Kirk on September 18th, but ended up having a "memorial" that reportedly brought in 7,000 people. My guess is that it was from heavily RW and nearby Weld County (Greeley), but who knows... Fort Collins is a blue stronghold, but obviously, students come from all over. Maybe it was also progressives attending out of curiosity or some other reason...?
