There are officers below Flag Level who could have very fascist leanings and as nuts as the idiots in the Trump Mob. Clearing out the flag officers who 'hold the zealots back' could well spell disaster for democracy.

Sane security procedures would NEVER allow all those flag officers to be in one place at one time, too big a target! This has the smell of a coup.
