Hegseth's mysterious meeting with generals will focus on grooming and warrior ethos

The event, which will draw top brass from around the world, will function as a pep rally of sorts.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered hundreds of generals to Virginia next week to discuss grooming, standards and his “warrior ethos” vision — an unusual move that has sparked confusion among military leaders around the world.

The secretive meeting will serve as a kind of pep rally where Hegseth focuses on conduct and expectations for military leadership, according to three military officials and a congressional aide familiar with the planning.

Almost every general and admiral in the U.S. military, including many from global commands, will need to show up Tuesday at a military base in Quantico, Virginia. The unprecedented event will be one of the only times such an assembly of senior military leaders has been in the same space.

Hegseth wants to talk about how everyone “needs to row in the same direction” or face career consequences, said one of the military officials, who like others, was granted anonymity to discuss internal planning.

OMG. The command I support just went through Four Weeks of the Financial code sending out G&A emails about "All FY24/25 Travel Funds for the end of the FY are frozen for the last period of the Fiscal Year, cannot release any remaining Travel Funding until 1 Oct, ensure all travel is booked by 08 Sept, emergency travel will need to be approved on an individual traveller basis by the command..."
All these Flag Stars and Senior Enlisted had to procure their own tickets and hotel rooms and hope to get reimbursed before the end of October.

This is little exercise is really going to improve loyalty and morale amongst the ranks.

"Warrior Ethos" my wrinkly pale tush...Warrior Ethos starts at the top, and it will never be found in the bottom of a Whiskey glass.

It's "rah-rah" stuff. He's infantry, they like the rah-rah

“HooUH!”

I guess the Venezuelan boat was a trophy kill for the troops.

They’ve completely ducked the Seals in North Korea event. I guess we can’t have that discussion in public.

The meeting coincides with a potential government shut-down.

A potential for Martial Law seems possible to me.

He wants soldiers to look like warriors, dress like warriors, talk like warriors, wear warrior clothes and all stuff like that.

the "Warrior Aesthetic" is going to be trending on TikTok very soon, I predict.
