If it's an image, take a screenshot, edit it and upload to a host (imgur, postimages, imgbb and so on)

I have a little app that lets me screenshot only the area I want to capture.

Videos, I can't say unless they are at youtube, and you can "copy image url", but FB doesn't do that as far as I can tell.

ETA: some sites let you get the image's or video's address (URL) but then have impossible links for DU code to understand and render).

With DU there is no copy and paste of images, only links. So, that's why I advise screenshots or downloading the image and reposting it to a host that behaves well with DU. I just did it with an impossible URL at Meidas.
