Demonstrators were gassed and worse,many were scooped up on bogus charges, there was vandalism to some gonvernment buildings.

He's so fucking stupid he thinks it never stopped, that the intervening 5 years didn't force demonstrators to get jobs and stop demonstrating. Portland made him look bad so Portland must be punished. Besides, he thinks violating Posse Comitatus makes him look strong. If there is any justice left here, it will make him look like a jailbird.

and said everything was peaceful until the MAGAts showed up to start shit and that they were responsible for the vandalism. If any of them got hauled in, there was no arrest record (sounds familiar to this old 60s relic), and that after the MAGAts started shit, the peaceful demonstrators got arrested.

Lesson: cops are right wing and they're not our friends. If MAGAts show up to start shit, LEAVE. If it was a good demo, you made your point. Leave the cops and violent thugs staring at each other.
