(5,526 posts)release of all remaining hostages.
At least that is how I read it.

(7,059 posts)But given that Hamas doesn't recognize the state of Israel though, I'd lean towards them ignoring it altogether.

(6,466 posts)"they can do this the easy way, or they can do this the hard way".
The whole thing is performative. Just another cliff hanger episode in the surreal reality tv show being directed by the grifter.

(4,409 posts)With his usual trick of inserting a last-minute, outrageous demand or two.
Then they can blame Hamas before obliterating mountains more Palestinians.
Trump is just vain and stupid enough to believe he is in control here.

(10,963 posts)There will be no agreement. If anything Hamas wants more martyrs. And Trump wants to deflect from Epstein.

(1,117 posts)The idiot in the White House routinely comes up with this shit without consulting any of the parties involved.
Don't forget the recent meeting with Don Jr and Tony Blair, arranging how Trump's new resort would occupy the newly available territory. No one present had any authority to decide any such thing, and no agreement was sought from anybody who did have it.

(5,526 posts)If Hamas hadn't done October 7th, we wouldn't even be here.
If Hamas had released all the hostages, and surrendered those responsible for October 7, this would have been over two years ago.
Now it is essentially, surrender unconditionally and release all hostages or else.
As far as I read it, there is no more negotiations with hamas. Unconditional surrender.

(2,431 posts)Because Netanyahu gets to continue his vile genocide, starvation of children, murder of doctors, and ethnic cleansing...to stay out of jail and maintain his role at the head of a militarized theocracy. And Trump is happy to help with that, of course.
From the article:
Trump said that if Hamas rejects the proposal, he will continue to support Israels war effort.
If Hamas rejects the deal, which is always possibletheyre the only one left, everyone else has accepted itbut I have a feeling that were going to have a positive answer, Trump said. If not, as you know, Bibi, youd have my full backing to do what you would have to do.

(4,409 posts)In other words, they just followed whatever Bibi told them.
Now watch for Netanyahu, as he has done many times before, to insert a last-minute absurd demand he knows Hamas will reject and then it's bombs away!

(22,837 posts)Unless the plan involves Israel being dissolved, Hamas will not truly accept it.
AloeVera
(4,409 posts)He stated right after the meeting with Trump in which he supposedly "accepted" the proposal, that not only will he "forcefully resist" the creation of a Palestinian state but also the withdrawal of IDF forces from Gaza.
Please someone explain how one can "accept" a plan but then turn around and reject the two elements that he KNOWS are the most important for Hamas to accept the deal?
How do you say "SABOTAGE" in Hebrew?
How do you say performance art? What about BULLSHIT?
