Although I began my

post-university career as a Peace Corps Volunteer, in a later career change, I ended up liaising and working with career officers at the Pentagon for about a three-year period.

Working with the very competent people that I got to know there, I learned NOT to stereotype the military and even now have great respect for those I got to know.

Those in the career military know the true costs of war and will do anything to avoid it. They are NOT the couch warriors that too many of our politicians are, and certainly not draft dodgers like Frump.
