Fake 'Medbed' Video Shared by Trump Risks Harm to Patients, Experts Warn
"A fabricated video posted by President Donald Trump that appears to show him promoting a cure-all "medbed" popular among conspiracy theorists has drawn sharp warnings from public health experts, who say such claims can cause real harm.
Styled to resemble a Fox News broadcast, the clipopens in a new tab or window -- which Trump shared on Truth Social before deleting -- purports to show him announcing the launch of hospitals featuring "medbeds" and cards for "every American" to access them.
There's just one problem, experts told MedPage Today.
"'Medbeds' don't exist," said Rebecca Andrews, MD, chair of the American College of Physicians Board of Regents."
