military is "gladiators." They don't realize that many tasks are related to proper operation of technical assets, not hand-to-hand combat. It is also about data and acquired intelligence, whether signal or human. These top-of-their-field leaders have advanced degrees, training, experience, and they don't need leadership training from a dry drunk who manhandles strippers, pees in public on the side of a 4 or 5 star hotel, or trades in his wife every few years like a leased vehicle.
