that is the major problem, it is all the other names and possible tapes that he currently has control over. He does not want to lose what he has on them. These would be your CEO's, billionaires, tech bros, etc. As it is now I bet they jump when he says jump - or rather contribute to his PACs etc.

of course his name would be in the files. It's just that we all know he is a creep and rapist so revealing his name is not that big a deal. His base knows he is a rapist and still support him.
He inherited Epstein's business, in a sense, because he has power over every name on that list just as Epstein thought he would.
