Not as threatening - but similar sentiment and "we're watching" implication. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/voter-report-card-mailings-described-as-creepy-and-insulting-defended-as-effective-tool/ (officially non-partisan - but based on who was targeted in the last election - left-leaning)

And Postcards to Swing States (also left-leaning) routinely includes one option for postcard writing that informs the recipient that, although how they vote is private, whether they vote is public. While factual, I've always found those messages creepy - and have refused to use that choice.

He DID have reasons for leaving that "state".....
